Not only did we buy, we bought well   And here’s why………………

Our property was a brick home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas on approximately 650 square metres of land by private sale.  The offer on this property went unconditional on Friday the 7th of April, 2017

An alternate property that we had considered sold the next day at auction for $46,000 more than we had paid.  It had three beds and one bathroom and was a very neat, but dated property on similar land size.

The Vendor of our property has tried to get out of the sale.  He contacted his conveyancer on Monday after the other auction result nearby and sent a letter to our clients solicitor requesting they withdraw from the contract.  He thinks he should have achieved another $50,000 for his property, at least, as he felt it had more to offer.

Of course, our client knows they got a bargain and they are sticking with the purchase.

According to realestate.com.au searches for properties for sale on their website have gone up 24% compared to this time last year in the suburb of St Albans.

According to the REIV statistics, median house prices have risen 25.8% over the previous year to 31st of March 2017.
