Last weekend Buyer Solutions bought a fabulous home in prestigious Mernda Road, Kooyong.

It was a very busy auction weekend in Melbourne and Buyer Solutions was out bidding for home buyer clients in several suburbs and at varying price points.
The REIV tells us that ” A clearance rate of 76 per cent was recorded compared to 77 per cent last weekend and 72 per cent this weekend last year. There were 1205 auctions reported to the REIV, with 912 selling and 293 being passed in, 128 of those on a vendor bid. The REIV collected 98% of auction results last weekend with a total of 1247 results including 18 postponed and 24 withdrawn.”
So, it was interesting to note that in suburbs as diverse as Kooyong in the prestige market and Bayswater in the Eastern suburbs family home there were multiple bidders at all auctions we attended.
Bidding was quite heated in Kooyong with three bidders wanting the property right up to the auctioneer announcing the property sold. Our client was very relieved and excited to be the new owner. Our building inspector phoned during the week prior to the auction and told us that there was no need for a written report on this property as he had nothing to write, it was so well built.
Thoughtful design offered our clients a future forever home. There was a lift, 4 bedrooms, a great home office, media room, lovely sunny entertainer areas, big garage, storage room and lovely pool area as well.
In Bayswater, our clients weren’t so lucky with the property, quoted at $540,000 plus, selling for $850,000 after being declared on the market as two buyers really wanted it.
