Buying Property In Your SMSF
Much interest in buying property in SMSF.
Buying investment property in Self Managed Super Funds (SMSF’s)was a popular topic at our recent presentation for The Pentad Group at their Camberwell offices on the 26th of March. The presentation was standing room only. With limited seating, some Pentad & Moneta Super clients who were hoping to attend could not be accommodated. Due to demand we hope to run more sessions to satisfy people who couldn’t attend on the evening.
Packed with useful information, the evening was very pleasant with light refreshments and supper served after the Q & A time expired.
Mr Mike McNamara from Buyer Solutions spoke on “Investing in Property Via Your SMSF” giving attendees a snapshot of the state of the market, the benefits of capital growth when you select the type of property that grows in value and how Buyer Solutions can help to achieve the outcome you seek with our professional property buying services.
Mr Brendan Kurtz from Outsource Financial spoke on “Financing Property Purchases in your SMSF- Tips and Tricks”. He stressed that finding the right source of financing can be time consuming and how his broking firm can assist.
Mr Lance Livermore, Director of The Pentad Group & Moneta Super spoke on “Your SMSF- Property Investments- How to get started>”
The Q&A session on completion of the presentation was lively and engaged. People obviously want to explore wealth creation opportunities. All attendees were positive about potentially buying an investment property in their SMSF and borrowing to do so. After the presentation, they were much better informed of the strict rules that have to be observed, the different LVR’s that apply and the various funding options and pros and cons of each.
It was very interesting that the age of attendees varied from around 30 up to post retirement age.
